Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes. We are a licensed, bonded and insured business in the State of Colorado. We are bonded and insured through Pet Sitter Associates. We are pleased to provide a copy of our certificate during out initial Meet & Greet or upon later request.

What are PSA and PSI memberships, and why should I hire a Professional Pet Sitter?

Pet Sitters Associates is a Preferred Pet Business Insurance Provider Since 1998.

Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s leading educational organization for professional pet sitters since 1994. The association’s commitment to industry excellence is reflected in its continually evolving resources and programs.

Why Use a Professional Pet Sitter?

If you’re like most pet lovers, you hate leaving your pet in unfamiliar surroundings when you travel. You can arrange for friends and neighbors to take care of your pet at home, but often, they’re too busy, and you don’t like to impose.

Our service provides your dog, cat, and/or other pets the care they need while you’re away – right in your own home. truly loves animals. With us, you are assured reliable and responsible service.

Your pets will:

• follow their customary routine and diet.

• avoid exposure to illness from other animals.

What is your payment policy?

Stay Happy Pet Sitting accepts cash, checks and credit cards via PayPal.

Please be aware that we charge a $40 fee for bounced checks.

After your free 1-hour in-home consultation, we are happy to secure your desired service dates with a 50% deposit and signed copy of the PSI Contract and our Liability Release Form. Should your plans change, we will refund all or part of your security deposit based on the circumstances and amount of advanced notice given. The balance for our services will be due upon the first day of service.

If the balance isn’t paid in full before your departure, your will have 3 business days to provide the funds by mail before a $25/day service fee is added to the total.

Where is your service area?

Neal Ranch, Cheyenne Mountain Ranch, Stratton Meadows, Broadmoor, Upper & Lower Skyway, Ivywild, South Downtown and Westside neighborhoods. Pet Sitting is offered within El Paso County limits, but does not include the 1/2 hour of dog walking outside of our primary service areas listed above. Dog walking services may be added to pet sitting jobs outside of the primary service area, if needed.

Are you available on holidays and weekends?

Yes, we are available on most holidays and weekends. Our schedules do fill up quickly for major holidays, so make sure to book early to secure your pet sitting needs. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book all service dates.

Do you offer Socialization and Obedience training?

Stay Happy Pet Sitting may refer pets with socialization or obedience issues to receive professional training to insure the safety of your pet and our staff. We currently refer all training to Matt “The Wolfman” Wilson at Ethos K9. We do not receive any financial compensation for referrals. We chose Ethos K9 because of their years of success with training service/therapy dogs, and law-enforcement & military assistance animals.

Ethos K9 is Colorado’s premier training company. They offer specialized dog training, private obedience training, VETERAN PTSD K9s, Puppy/Intermediate/Advanced Obedience training, CGC, and Personal Protection.

Instances where Stay Happy Pet Sitting might refer a pet for training include biting, aggressive behavior, potty training, chewing, anxiety/overstimulation, pilfering through household trash, repeatedly eating potentially toxic household items, or to become certified as a Service Dog or for enhanced personal protection.

Do you offer a military discount?

Yes we do! We offer a 20% discount to all active duty and retired Military, Police and Fire personnel with valid ID. Thank you for your service!

Please limit one discount per customer.

Do you offer a senior discount?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount on all services for Seniors 65+.

What is your refund policy?

Our goal is to create a happy, thriving community. If you are not thrilled with our service or are not enjoying the experience, then we have no interest in forcing you to stay an unhappy client. Our rates are competitive and our quality of service is not easy to find. However, in the event that we aren’t a good fit, we would be happy to refer you to another pet sitter or boarding facility that might better fit your needs in the future.

We do not offer refunds once services have been rendered. Should you need to cancel your vacation, we will need to attempt to reschedule those dates of service with another client. If we are able to reschedule those dates of service, a refund will be provided for each day we were able to reschedule.

In case of an unavoidable emergency, we will apply your deposit toward a future date of service.
